First, the Internet tools we use and think are worth passing on: For our broadband internet connection we use Plusnet. They provide an excellent (local call) help service and were really easy to set up. Their procedures are totally transparent, with all the information about your queries, problems, solutions etc. clearly available on their website. In late 2004 the charge was only £14.99 for an extremely fast(1 Megabyte) connection, with an allowanceof 1 Gigabyte per month (which is plenty for normal use). To deal with the problem of SPAM and virus emails, we use Mailwasher. This lets you inspect all mail on the webserver before downloading it to your computer, and it works extremely well for us. Basic version is free, full version very cheap. Link is here: MailWasher Free
