Good restaurants, pubs and cafes in and around Llanberis:

There are lots of good places to eat, depending on whether you want to eat in the village, or in the neighbouring towns, and what kind and size of meal you want. Remember though that Llanberis is a small village, and do not expect to find many places open every day or late at night. Arriving at 9.30 at night expecting a meal is probably being over-optimistic (though the Balti Raj Indian Restaurant opens until about 11 pm some nights. If in doubt, ring in advance - we have included telephone numbers for the places which we recommend.

In the village itself we have one especially noteworthy restaurant - the Peak Bistro which has recently (2010) been awarded Good Food Guide status after only being open for a couple of years. Find details in our restaurant section along with others.

A lot of the places to eat are hotels with public bars and restaurants - in effect they are pub, restaurant and hotel in one. The very best of these is in nearby Pentir (about 10 minutes drive away) - the Vaynol Arms. Others are closer and listed in our restaurants section.
