Things to do in while based in Llanberis

A lot of our guests want to take the mountain railway to the summit of Snowdon. The company website is here.. However, potential travellers please note that this is a mountain railway - it only runs if the weather permits, and if the train doesn't run, the summit cafe can't open!

Snowdon is by no means the only attraction here, though. Just in the village we have two railways, a large lake (with steamer trips, rowing boats, and canoes), a National Museum, a Welsh (not English) castle from the 12th Century, waterfalls, excellent places to eat, and more. A little further out you can find leisure centres, activities for children and for adults, horse-riding, beautiful coastlines, fabulous mountains, more restaurants, diving, more castles, beautiful gardens, and so on.
